Inv. n°: CL1035
Giorgio De Chirico (1 of 7) Irving Penn
Features the Italian painter in front of his famous nude self-portrait. An innovator and “an outsider” - a perception he himself would later encourage - de Chirico’s married vaguely classical and highly simplified architectural elements with the recently developed pictorial language of Cubism. Signed, titled, dated and annotated verso with stamps and ink.
