Deacessionned from The Levett Collection in December 2023 - Donated to the Palazzo Davanzati, Florence, Italy. (Donato di Niccolo di Betto Bardi) (1386/7 - 1466) The Madonna cradling the Child, He is seated upon a cushion and is supported by her right hand, He holds her veil in His left hand, laid down on a wood background painted as a star-filled blue sky, within an architectural frame flanked by pilasters, the lower tablet inscribed 'S. M. INTERCEDE. PNOBIS'.
